As part of an additional survey by the BiB/FReDA project ‘Refugees from Ukraine in Germany’, 11- to 17-year-old Ukrainian children and adolescents were interviewed about their living situation – including school, leisure time, and life satisfaction.

Europe was hard-hit by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021. While its effects at national level are now well known, intranational differences have been less frequently investigated. The Authors fill this knowledge gap and show that considerable heterogeneity exists at regional level, even within the same country.
