In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, which entails sudden changes in many areas of life, a pilot study was carried out in the research field "Aging Societies" of the Technical University of Dortmund. The aim of the study "Health and Support in Times of Corona" was to gain insights into how the COVID-19 pandemic affects the health behavior, life satisfaction and well-being as well as the support provided and received by people in middle and later adulthood. Moreover, we wanted to learn about the importance of communication media such as the internet and telephone in the course of the pandemic.
Participation in the quantitative survey was available both online and by telephone between May and July 2020. The sample consists of 458 individuals between the ages of 31 and 91.
