Team • 17.04.2024We Welcome Sophie Stroisch for Her Second Stay

Since April 8th, Sophie Stroisch from the Universities of Groningen and Oldenburg has been joining our team to explore mortality differences in European cross-border regions. This is her second research stay in our team at the Federal Institute for Population Research (BiB), which will continue until May 3rd.

Sophie Stroisch is a Research Associate at the University of Oldenburg and a PhD candidate at the University of Groningen. She holds a M.Sc. degree in Population Studies from the University of Groningen. Currently, she is writing her PhD thesis on the impact of social and economic context factors on health differences in European cross-border regions. Her thesis is part of the joint project “Comparison of healthcare structures, processes and outcomes in the Northern German and Dutch cross-border region II” (CHARE-GD II) of the universities of Oldenburg and Groningen.

She is working with our team to explore trends in cause-specific and avoidable mortality in European cross-border regions.

We are very pleased to welcome Sophie Stroisch to Wiesbaden again and wish her a great time!
