Under the motto of “Measuring and Interpreting Regional Mortality Variation in Europe”, the first REDIM Research Network Meeting since the launch of the project finally took place in-person at the Federal Institute for Population Research (BiB) in Wiesbaden, Germany, from 12–13 September 2022.
The purpose of the meeting was to bring our closest international partners together to discuss our latest research results, the current developments and the progress of the project as well as to delineate research agenda for future collaborations (see the programme on the right for further details).
REDIM is a research project that aims to perform a large-scale systematic investigation of the reasons for persisting and emerging spatial disparities in mortality across and within European countries. To achieve this ambitious objective, the REDIM team has established and maintained a Europe-wide network of partners who are leading experts in this field of study (see the link below).
