Our newest team member, Markus Sauerberg, has begun working as post-doc for the REDIM project. He supports our team analysing the Europe-wide, regional data on cause-specific mortality.
Markus Sauerberg holds a B.A. in Social Sciences and a M.Sc. in Demography from the University of Rostock. In 2016–2017, he participated in the European Doctoral School of Demography (EDSD) in Rome. From August 2017 to December 2021, he was part of the “Health & Longevity” research group of the Vienna Institute of Demography (VID). In March 2021, he earned a PhD in Social Sciences and Economics at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU). In January 2022, he has begun working for our project at the Federal Institute for Population Research (BiB) in Wiesbaden, Germany.
We are very pleased to welcome Markus Sauerberg to our team and wish him a good start!
