BiB Fellow Programme | 15.02.2022New Initiative of the BiB Honours Research Work

BiB has launched its own Fellow Programme. With this initiative, the institute recognises excellent researchers from Germany and abroad whose work makes a significant contribution to the field of population research.

In the first round, 29 researchers will be awarded as BiB Fellows. At the launch of the programme in Berlin, BiB Director Prof. Dr. C. Katharina Spieß welcomed the first two Fellows, Prof. Dr. Gert G. Wagner, Max Planck Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development (MPIB) and Prof. Dr. Magdalena Nowicka, Head of Department Integration at the German Center for Integration and Migration Research (DeZIM)). They were awareded on behalf of all participants.

BiB's broad range of topics is reflected in the Fellows' diverse academic backgrounds, such as population sciences, geography, gerontology, or economics and social sciences. The programme strengthens scientific collaborations between BiB researchers and BiB Fellows, for example in the context of joint projects, publications and events.
