European Population Conference 2016 • 24.03.2016EPC 2016 in Mainz: Register Now

Registration for this year's European Population Conference (EPC) is now possible. The biggest European symposium for demographic research will take place in Mainz, Germany, from 31 August until 3 September 2016, and is being organised by the BiB in cooperation with the European Association for Population Studies (EAPS).

About 1,000 participants from all over Europe and overseas are expected. More than 500 presentations will be held in parallel meetings and roughly 300 posters will be presented. Furthermore, a number of side events will be run in order to foster academic cooperation and to support young scholars. A special focus will be on the topic of “Demographic Change and Policy Implications”. Participants who register until 30 April 2016 profit from a reduced price.

Background

The European Population Conference takes place every two years and will be held this year in Germany for the first time. The location is the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz.
