Angesichts der humanitären Krise in der Ukraine veranstaltet das BiB in Kooperation mit Population Europe und der University of Southhampton einen Kurzzeit-Workshop. Dieser findet am kommenden Donnerstag, 28. April 2022 von 14 bis 16 Uhr im Rahmen einer Onlinekonferenz statt.
Gemeinsam mit führenden Expertinnen und Experten aus der Ukraine sowie anderen europäischen Ländern soll das Bewusstsein für die aktuelle Situation in der Ukraine geschärft werden, indem die sich abzeichnende humanitäre Krise aus demografischer Sicht beleuchtet wird. Darüber hinaus soll diskutiert werden, wie die akademische und politische Welt die Forscherinnen und Forscher in der Ukraine unterstützen kann – und welche Möglichkeiten es gibt, die wissenschaftliche Zusammenarbeit jetzt und in Zukunft aufrechtzuerhalten.
